Milford Elks Lodge 1589 has been part of this Connecticut shoreline city long enough to have buried friends and toasted milestones for generations of the same families. That bittersweet reality is what makes the Lodge real. Members have left handprints on this place, and their memories live in the rooms where their families still gather.

Sit on the patio on a warm evening and you get ample parking, clean facilities, and a kitchen that can feed a crowd. But the reviews that stick are the ones written by people who held a celebration here after a funeral, or threw a retirement party in the banquet hall and cried happy tears. That is what 124 New Haven Ave actually is: a place people return to because it holds meaning.

With a 4.5-star rating across nearly 70 reviews, Lodge 1589 earns its reputation through consistency, genuine hospitality, and the kind of crowd that welcomes a stranger and calls them a regular by the second visit.

"My beloved friends Joanne and Mark, both passed on way too young, and within about a month of each other (they needed to be together, which is why they both went to heaven relatively close together.) They had their wedding reception here and it was beautiful. So much fun and excellent food and just a cozy, fun, love filled time for the happy couple and for all their loved ones who attended! Hip, hip hooray for the Milford Elks Lodge and may it continue to be lovingly blessed! 💖💖💖💖"

A Proud Heritage

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
